Professor and Director for the Center for the Study of Lithiasis and Pathological Calcification Saeed R. Khan, Ph.D., was recently contacted by the editorial board of Clinical and Experimental Nephrology, the official journal of the Japanese Society of Nephrology, which recommended and confirmed his review article, “Crystal-induced inflammation of the kidney: results from human studies, animal models, and tissue-cultured studies,” for its 2013 Best Citation Award.In acknowledgement of this honor, Dr. Khan will soon receive a certificate, prize money and a commemorative object.
