About David Hernandez Gonzalo

Dr. Gonzalo joined UF Department of Pathology, Immunology and Laboratory Medicine in July 2013 after completing his fellowship in Gastrointestinal, Hepatic and Pancreatobiliary Pathology at the Cleveland Clinic.

Dr. Gonzalo completed two anatomic pathology residencies. His first residency took place in Hospital Universitario Virgen del Rocio (Sevilla,Spain), one of the best pathology programs in the country. During this residency, he also had the opportunity to rotate at outside institutions such as Cleveland Clinic (Soft Tissue pathology rotation) and Akron Summa Health System (Surgical Pathology rotation) for a total of five months. He completed his second pathology residency in Cleveland Clinic, Ohio.

Dr. Gonzalo specializes in the interpretation of biopsy and resection specimens in the fields of Gastrointestinal, Liver, Pancreatobiliary as well as Breast pathology.
