About Alan Siroy

My name is Alan Siroy, and I am an attending pathologist with subspecialty fellowship training in dermatopathology, surgical pathology, and molecular oncology. I began my career as a full-time faculty member of the University of Florida College of Medicine in 2017, practicing primarily at the UF Health Pathology Laboratories – Rocky Point campus, within the UF Department of Pathology, Immunology, and Laboratory Medicine.

I am currently a staff pathologist/dermatopathologist at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center, just across the street from UF Shands Hospital. I maintain a courtesy teaching faculty professorship with the UF College of Medicine and enjoy teaching the UF pathology residents at the microscope while also occasionally providing didactic lectures at Shands Hospital. I also enjoy collaborating with my VA physician colleagues within the pathology department as well as my clinical colleagues in the VA dermatology, ENT, ophthalmology, and plastic surgery departments for the overall betterment of patient care.

My academic interests primarily include cutaneous pathology, oncologic surgical pathology, and molecular diagnostics of melanocytic lesions and other solid tumors.

Outside of the hospital, my hobbies include studying philosophy, theology, cognitive neurobiology, foreign languages & cultures, and playing a variety of sports (golf, tennis, basketball, swimming) and musical instruments (guitar, piano, saxophone).
